The day was kickstarted with a behind-the-scenes look at the stunning new venue for W Hotels, led by General Manager Ken Millar, which was followed by an in-depth tour of the St James Quarter, led by Anne Ledgerwood and Mark Bentley.

It was a fascinating insight into not only the history of the site but also the complexities of the level changes and how that was overcome through the new development.

Throughout the insightful day we also heard from Threesixty Architecture and Revo Scotland’s Alan Anthony, Essential Edinburgh's Roddy Smith and William Jamieson of CMS UK and the Revo Hub.

It was fantastic to see so many thriving retailers and their latest shopfits, alongside the seamless integration of retail, hotel, leisure and residential uses. It’s great to experience physical retail continuing to evolve in exciting and innovative ways.

Thank you to Revo for putting on such a great day... it’s just a shame our darts skills weren’t quite up to scratch at the networking drinks at Flight Club! We’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for other future events!
