The Fawcett Mead team have raised £20,000 for the charity’s work with orphans and vulnerable children in Lesotho’s capital city Maseru, using football to break down barriers.
During the trip, the Fawcett Mead team - along with friends from estate agency Giggs & Co, from Fawcett’s home town of St Neots, Cambridgeshire – delivered health education and life skills activities to children in local schools, and play a lot of football.
Fawcett said: “As a company we’re committed to wider community development and were thrilled to link up with Kick4Life who help transform the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the world. As sports fans, it was fantastic to have the opportunity to use football to make a difference.”
Kick4Life has received multiple international accolades, including the Nelson Mandela Children’s Award. It has also been funded by the likes of UNICEF, the Vodafone Foundation and BT Sport, and supported by David Beckham and Fabio Capello.
