The deal for the 1 million sq ft shopping centre was secured by FMX Urban Property Advisers’ James Mead, working alongside Montagu Evans’ Adrian Peachey, and marks M Core’s third flagship Scottish shopping centre investment in three years.
The acquisition includes the Plaza, Princes Mall, Princes Square, Olympia, Southgate and Plaza Tower, together with more than 1,700 car parking spaces.
It’s great to have worked alongside the M Core Property team - Sebastian Macdonald-Hall, Danny O'Keefe, Philip Murphy, Chris Daly and Ryan Avery - to add such a fantastic scheme to their portfolio. Our thanks also go to Morton Fraser MacRoberts LLP’s John McQuillan and Mark Colquhoun for a great deal done.
“We are delighted to have advised M Core on the acquisition of East Kilbride Shopping Centre, one of Scotland’s largest shopping schemes,” says FMX partner James Mead.
“This was a complex transaction with plenty of moving parts, so seeing it all come together has been particularly satisfying. It is always a pleasure to work with the teams at M Core and MFMAC, and this deal was a great example of what a collaborative approach can achieve.”
Great to do a deal with Mark Garmon-Jones at Savills who acted for the vendor.
