Primark has exchanged on a deal to take the majority of the former Debenhams unit, opening a 35,000 sq ft store next year which we anticipate will deliver a strong boost to both footfall and spend across the centre. Other recent lettings helping to ramp up and evolve the retail mix include store openings for The Fragrance Shop, Trespass, Cards Direct, and Pandora.
Owned by Abrdn – which developed and opened Parkway Shopping in October 2011 – the 300,000 sq ft scheme is a great example of a thriving mixed-use, town centre destination with retail units across the ground and first floors, let to national and independent operators, and 184 apartments above.
Key existing tenants at the scheme include Next, Robert Goddard, Waterstones and Sostrene Grene.
