September always brings that ‘back-to-school’ buzz - fresh starts, new challenges, and big wins. For Team FMX, it was no different… from landmark store openings and major investment deals completed, to team growth and a river cruise adventure, here’s what we got up to this month:

𝗠&𝗦 𝗨𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸, 𝗢𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗼𝗻
From a small food hall to a near 60,000 sq ft flagship, Marks and Spencer Orpington has had a glow-up of epic proportions. David Justice secured the original store for M&S back in 2007, and has now negotiated new terms with British Land to upsize this so a fresh new look could be unveiled earlier this month.

𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝗯𝗯 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺
We were excited to welcome Graduate Surveyor India Bebb to our growing Agency team. Fresh from Oxford Brookes University (and some travels!), she’s already dived straight into projects to support our occupier and landlord clients.

Graham Fawcett and Patrick Kilvington, alongside Central Retail Property Consultants, advised St. Bride's Managers on the sale of 54/55 Briggate. Fully let to IWC Schaffhausen and Montblanc, the property was acquired by a private client of Powell Rose.

Clarks has returned to Newbury, relocating within the town to a shiny new store at Parkway Shopping Centre, sitting alongside Primark and Schuh. The deal was secured by Filippa Mudd on behalf of Aberdeen - thanks to Paul Bishop at Clarks for making it happen.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀: 𝗙𝗠𝗫 𝗛𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀
The FMX crew swapped desks for decks and took to the Thames for our team day out. With sunshine, a riverside lunch and some surprisingly sharp boating skills, it turns out we handle boats as well as property!

After a super busy September, wrapping up a strong Q3, October is already shaping up to make a powerful start to Q4 - and we’re ready!
