Huntingdon is a rapidly expanding Cambridgeshire town located approximately 18 miles northwest of Cambridge and 19 miles south of Peterborough. The town benefits from great transport links as it sits on the intersection of the A14 and the A1 with direct access to the A10, M11 and M1. Huntingdon has a 1-hour train to London Kings Cross with 2-3 services typically running per hour.
Chequers Shopping Centre provides the retail gateway between the traditional High Street in Huntingdon, and St Germain Walk. Chequers Shopping Centre is fully pedestrianised.
It was extended in partnership with Huntingdon District Council to create an exciting new retail space with large contemporary units. This development facilitated lettings to M&S Food, Next and TK Maxx and a parade of 6 smaller units, parallel to St Germain Walk. The new anchor stores were all major new additions to the town and ensured a wider catchment was pulled into the town centre.
